Investing in the Next Generation of Cancer Breakthroughs
For more than 50 years, the Israel Cancer Research Fund (ICRF) has funded innovative cancer research in Israel. Since 1975, ICRF has invested more than $100 million in research funding, supporting over 3,000 grants that have advanced the understanding, prevention, detection, and treatment of cancer.
Today, ICRF is the largest nongovernmental organization dedicated exclusively to funding cancer research in Israel.
Each year, Israel's leading scientists submit their most promising research proposals to ICRF. Following a rigorous international peer-review process, the highest-ranked projects are recommended for funding based solely on scientific excellence. However, not every approved project receives funding. As traditional sources of research funding become increasingly limited, private philanthropy plays a critical role in ensuring that the most promising discoveries can move forward.
ICRF Montreal offers donors a unique opportunity to invest in Israeli researchers at different stages of their careers. In addition to funding innovative research projects in Israel, we support Israeli physician-scientists through the ICRF Montreal Fellowship Program. Fellows receive advanced research training in Montreal before returning to Israel to establish research programs, advance patient care, and train the next generation of scientists.
Together, these investments strengthen Israel's cancer research ecosystem, foster scientific collaboration, and accelerate discoveries that benefit patients around the world.
Your support helps ensure that promising cancer research—and the scientists behind it—have the opportunity to move forward.
